I have been on quite a few tours. This was by far a one that stood out! For the beginning, everything was great! It was very nice that we only had 17 people total in our group! Our tour guide Jegor Modric was I think the most caring person and was great with everyone! He really made everyone feel like he was there for us! He spent time with each person along the way. I was not able to do some of the walking, so he would take me to the end where everyone would end and make sure I had a cafe to sit and have something to drink. The hotels were very nice and clean, great locations. I know not all tours are this small, but we really enjoyed that and would be nice if it was offered as an alternative to tours! I know it is a little more expensive, but I know I would pay for a smaller group! Loved Croatia, beautiful place!

We have been on 5 Collette tours and this was not my favorite for several reasons. Our tour guide was very good at times but sometimes did not give us enough information. For example we went to a restaurant up in the mountains in the Istrian but arrived late because we stopped at a town called Hum that I thought was a not worth all the extra driving time. We could have stayed longer in Opatija which was a beautiful city with lots to see instead of all the driving. We also stopped at a winery which was very enjoyable but by the time we got to the restaurant it was between lunch and dinner, but we thought we were getting lunch, so we had no idea we would be getting so many courses. We were all full by the time the main course came. I feel a restructuring of the day is called for leaving out Hum. For us we were not given enough time in Opatija and too much time in Split and Bled. I know you cannot please everyone, and we all have different expectation, but this is the first time we were a little disappointed in the experience. That said, the country was beautiful and we did have some extortionary times.

I was very disappointed that our tour guide had us leave beautiful Opatija to bus for over an hour to a distillery. We had very little time to spend in Opatija. I would have appreciated to just stay there. The excursion was promoted as a smalltown experience, a museum, distillery and dinner. The dinner, a pasta dish was excellent. The town was just a church and the museum was not a museum but a small structure with rooms filled with old equipment representing different activities.

The hotels and the itinerary were just average. No tour stops provided cultural experiences just basic walking tours. Colette seems to have turned into abargin basement tour company.

An amazing experience

It was amazing. From the moment we left and were picked up by a driver who took us to LAX, to the moment of our return and the coach ride home, it was a trip to remember. Our Guide, Jovanka, WAS INCREDIBLE. Her command of various languages, her knowledge of the intricacies of the areas we travelled (Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro) was outstanding. Her delivery of the Historical events the created the current configurations of Countries was a revelation. If we knew she was going to be the guide on another Collette trip of interest, it would weigh heavily toward us choosing that trip.

I loved the tour and the places that were chosen for us to experience. Everything from the places (Opertij, Stefanic Agrotourismo in Motovun, Makarska, Plitvice, dinner with the musical family outside Dubrovnik - just to name a few, the trip was eye-opening and the history of the land captivating. We're so glad to have taken this trip. We would have. The border crossings were crazy, especially at Montenegro, but we're still glad we got to visit Kotor.

Everything was extremely well organized. Hotels great except for one (which, however, was very clean--rooms too small). Cultural experiences were super. Bus extremely clean at all times. All personnel super pleasant.

My best experience was Montenegro because both of the guides had low pitched voices and I was able to hear all they said. My hearing loss does not permit me to hear high pitched tones. Unfortunately, although the main guide was truly a gem, she had a very high pitched voice and I was able to hear only approximately 20% of what she said so a great learning experience was lost.

Would love to have more comprehensive history and art coverage

The program was well thought of and the sites were well worth visiting. I was stressed with one night stays and suggest to change it to min 2 night stays in the hotels, and 2 pieces of luggage handling- a few of us were proceeding further on our trips..

I have always wanted to visit Croatia. Dubrovnik was as awesome as I had hoped. Lake Bled was beautiful and Ljubljana, Slovenia was a delightful city. Highly recommend the day excursion to Montenegro.

A Pleasant Travel Experience

This was my second tour with Collette and I will take another someday. Collette's pre-trip information is very useful and the travel documents complete. I used their service for air and land transportation this time, and I couldn't have been happier. Their planning and execution from start to finish was excellent.

*Accommodations are consistently clean with nice amenities. *The coaches are comfortable and clean, and the drivers are top notch. Milenko, on this Croatian trip, deserves highest acclaim. At no point on narrow winding roads, many with sheer cliffs, did I feel anxious or unsafe because of how carefully he drove. *Tour Manager Jim Clark was superb. He was informative, humorous, and pleasant at all times. His suggestions for activities, shopping and dining on free time were helpful. *The sights of Croatia and Slovenia were more beautiful than I had imagined, and the history was far more interesting than (I thought) I knew.

Overall, the tour, and especially our tour manager, was excellent. However, the meal on the final night (in Zagreb) was not up to expectations- the food was average, at best, and the service slow. Also, baggage handling in several hotels was slow, especially upon arrival. Based upon experiences at previous hotels, many guests felt it necessary to take baggage to their rooms themselves at the final two hotels.

Charmed by Collette tour of Croatia & Slovenia

Nasrin Gharni made this trip! We all fell in love with her patience, kindness, professionalism, and spirit of adventure & fun. Her optomisim was infectious. The accommodations were excellent. The only thing I would change is to eliminate the super-long trip to Montenegro. I would rather have had more time to shop & explore in Dubrovnik. As a person who does not eat beef or pork & very little meat, I was hungry a lot. The chicken there is terrible, don't order it, and the agribusiness events don't have alternatives to their planned meal. I'm glad I brought Granola, dried fruits & peanut butter crackers. Our driver, Brana (sp?) was incredible. If there was a tour bus driver Oympics he would win hands down. I was charmed by Croatia & Slovania & surprised at how advanced they are in spite of the recent war. Yet there remain amazing castles & walled cities throught. Lubliajna was beautiful, reminded me a little of Venice. I would recommend this Collette trip to anyone.

A Sunset stroll along the promenade with new friends in Opatjia, the amazing walled city of Dubrovnik, the magical Plitvice Lakes, the lovely Ljubljana, and upper city of Zagreb were wonderful, but the most memorable night was a traditional pork (yes pork) dinner at a local restaurant in the countryside of Cilipi where we were entertained by Udo & Borje. It was delicious & so much fun!

Croatia as beautiful, but there are a few items your company needs to improve to come up to your standard. Our tour director, Neb, made the tour enjoyable despite the constant change of hotels, etc. I was disappointed that Montenegro was not offered as advertised . Some of the hotels did not have a safe in the room. One of the hotels had a safe that was not secured to a solid surface.. DUH !... Coffee pots were not in every hotel room. The wifi on the bus was inconsistent. Only a limited few were able to log on and use it successfully.

Unfortunately the poor weather played a part in our tour and the visit to the National Forest, which should have been spectacular, was on a rainy and cold day when the park was closed due to flooding . My most memorable experince was visiting a farm and having a meal there. I liked the fact that there was not another bus load of guests.

This was my first guided tour that didn't involve volunteer work and hostels. I was very impressed with the knowledge of our guides and the quality of the accommodations. I was not impressed however with Collettes policy on rotating seating on the bus..I suffer from car sickness if I am too far back and cannot see the road and it was made VERY clear that this was company policy and I would have to take dramamine....and then I would fall asleep and miss the tour! Our tour manager had me sit at the front of the bus on the day I had to sit at the back. It was clear that they were not allowed to do this.

Wonderful experience in a beautiful part of the world.

I liked the pre-tour service. All my emails and queries were addressed well before leaving. I appreciated the delivery of the hard documents, and especially liked the little "Vacation Documents" which summarized the tour and provided helpful hints. The Tour Manager, Sibila, was wonderful - very knowledgeable, multi-lingual, cheerful and a pleasure to be around. She managed to make the vacation a superb experience - much better than anything I could have managed on my own.

The tour was well laid out, beginning in Dubrovnik and ending in Zagreb. The optional tour to Montenegro was great, even though the weather was rainy. The Welcome Dinner was a wonderful treat, and I enjoyed it immensely. The local guides were all superb, pleasant and informative. I would have to rate the day in Istria with the very hilly terrain, local church and the wonderful, wonderful Agritourism meal as a highlight for me. I also loved the day in Ljubljana, shopping in the local market, and getting to see the little parades in Zagreb. I enjoyed learning the history of the area, and the "old towns" were delightful with the cobblestones and crooked alleys.

Our Guide was best in any of the three previous trips with Collette. The staff over the phone were great. The trips fall short in either too many miles sitting in a bus and too many hotel changes -so its trip pace that the issue for us.

The tour was ok. Because we had to fly in and out of Zagreb, there were very long bus days. So, that cut into the touring part. Even though I knew it was a bus tour, I think more thought could have been put into that part.

Great places to visit!

What a well planned tour! The hotels were great as were the tours arranged by them. I learned so much about the countries I visited from our tour guide who was with us most of the days. All of the guides we had on separate tours were very well versed in their respective subjects. Our bus driver was also excellent. I can’t say enough what a wonderful time I had!

First and foremost was our guide, Sibila, She was informative, fun, funny, attentive, organized, and was like a mother hen with our group. The itinery was well planned as we visited the beautiful country of Croatia. There was some discussion of future tours scheduling one less day in Dubrovnik to be able to spend another day in Split. Personally, the 3 night stay in Dubrovnik was perfect. It offered us time to experience the cultural and people of that beautiful city. I have taken many tours and this one was most enjoyable because of Sibila and the atmosphere she created for our group of strangers who became friends.

This tour had too much bus time. Stopping at a roadside rest stop after hours on a bus is not considered seeing the small towns and countryside. This happened twice. There was not enough time in any one place to get an appreciation or feel for the area. After a walking tour and a bit of time for lunch we were back on a bus to travel to a hotel in time for dinner

The trip information night at Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce NH was great, and the diversion air-schedule experience was terrific, but the Documents Night was scheduled only about a week ahead of departure - way to close for comfort as travelers !!

The trip involved way too many hours on the bus. Wish that I had understood that prior to going. I loved the Agritourism Stops, the City Tours, and sites, hotels and the meals. The Tour Manager did not finish her telling of the complicated History of Yugoslavia collapse and wars.

Fantastic trip with 2 exceptions: 1. We rode the bus the entire length of Croatia twice - from the top to the bottom and back. Why not fly into the south and leave from the north. 2. At the pre-trip meeting we were told that the tour manager would ensure that seats on the bus were rotated on a daily basis. At the beginning of the tour the mgr. told us that she didn't like to do that, and that she hoped we would do this voluntarily. This did not happen, and the fact that there were a high number of "singles" on the tour who got on the bus early and "hogged" 2 seats for themselves, seating was very unfortunate. There were a few days that my wife and I were unable to sit together. The tour manager did a great job with the above-mentioned exception... The limo pick-up and delivery to and from the airport was very much appreciated..

A great tour, very picturesque and enjoyable. Highlights were Dubrovnik, Kotor, Split,Lake Bled and Ljubljana. Downside was the time spent on the bus.

The tour manager was a 5-star manager. He made the trip fun and was very efficient in making each day run smoothly. The pacing of the day was perfect. I appreciated the well-timed restroom stops! Our coach driver was also very good. He knew the backroads and helped us get through border crossings smoothly and easily. Steve and Bozo (tour manager and coach driver, respectively) made a great team.

Why I shall not use Thomas Cook Tour again

By being honest about who is running the tour. It was only when the pretour documents came ( by which time it was to late to cancel) that notification was given that the tour was being run by an American company Collette. As a result there was no one else on the tour from Britain.

The tour was poorly planned in that the coach travel the length of the country twice whereas had it started Zagreb or Dubroivnik and finished at the other a full day extra could have been spend enjoying the sites rather than sitting in a coach.

Well run and fun tour

Collette did a very good job with all the logistics, tours, and details of this trip. Very capable and professional tour leader, handled everything quite well, while making it interesting and fun.

Croatia, Slovenia, and Montenegro are beautiful countries with so much to explore. Collette tour was very nicely done, led by a very capable, professional and fun tour guide. We had excellent local tours, nice meals, and good hotels. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 was too much driving time spent in the bus. Highly suggest Collette re-route this tour, so you start in north and simply end in the south.

Tour was very informative.Many interesting places visited. My favorite place was lake Bled and Ljubljana.....wish I could have spent more time there. Of course Duvrovnik was exciting! Our tour manager Sibila Strazicic Cincotti was professional, knowledgeable and generous. The driver of the motorcoach was patient and courteous. Limo service was most appreciated !

For a four star tour Collette did a fantastic job. I really cannot see where they could have improved their service. Their Croatian Tour Guide, Ned, is very, very professional - a library of information. All in all, I cannot complain about a single thing. (Those things to complain about are things that are not of Collette's doing). They do a fabulous job.

The route was perfect. I wish some of the hotels (the rooms) were of higher quality but I understand that it is what Croatia offers as four star. BTW not 4 star by American standards at all. Again, the bus driver and tour guide were both the best ever. I was impressed to have a local guide wherever we went - some of them were good, others not so much.

Collette provided very good service, good lodging, and good guides, but my husband and I have decided we prefer smaller tour groups, under 28 people. We did not like dealing with gratuities, and we felt the routing of the itinerary caused tour members to have two long days on the bus, traveling all the way south and than again back up north, rather than traveling through all the cities in the north of Croatia and Slovenia and then traveling one day south, ending in Dubrovnik.

We thought the tour was of good quality, and we enjoyed our fellow tour members. Our tour manager was caring and helpful, and our bus driver was excellent. Dubrovnik was spectacular, and the hotel there was lovely, right on the water. But because of severe crowds, visits to Plitvice Lakes and Diocletian's Palace in Split were not very enjoyable. Stops at smaller locations were more fun, like lunch/dinner at agriturismo on Istrian Peninsula, at Ston, Croatia, and at Lake Bled, Slovenia. More time was needed for the additional trip to Montenegro. The tour should have left at 8:00 a.m. to give a longer period of time to explore Kotor. Dealing with passports and border crossings slowed down the trip. It would have been helpful to have a list of tour member names, home town, and email addresses in the tour booklet. We'd prefer to have gratuities included in the price of the tour--it's a nuisance to have the right amount for all the guides, bus driver, and tour manager. Two long days in the bus could have been avoided by planning the itinerary in a different way. Because the Croatian coast is so beautiful, could a portion of the tour be on a small ship, visiting a couple islands?

Extraordinary experience.

Croatia vs Italy - I can't decide which I like better!! Love them both.

The Collette Tour to Discover Croatia, Slovenia & the Adriatic Coast was my first tour with Collette and it far exceeded my expectations. The tour group consisted of 27 adults from the US, UK, Mexico and Australia. All participants were able to fully participate in the outings (lots of walking in the heat & swimming in the Adriatic). Group members were friendly and respectful to the other guests, guides, and locals. The hotel accommodations, travel arrangements, tour bus, food, sights, itinerary and our Tour Guide & the local guides were excellent. Our Dubrovnik Hotel was a 5 star hotel on the Adriatic - magical! tCroatia is a beautiful country, great food, interesting, long history and a first world country. Our Tour Guide was intelligent, articulate, friendly, professional, caring and a wealth of interesting history and stories. He followed up with us to ensure that anything we may have brought to his attention was promptly addressed. I'm looking forward to booking my next Collette tour.

Never Again

Tour entailed very long bus rides. Most meals were awful except for a few breakfasts at 5 star hotels, meals in Istria and meals I bought on my own in Slovenia. Bristol Hotel in Opatija had awful food, my room AC did not work in 90÷ temperatures and they never replaced burned out bulb over bathroom sink despite my many complaints. Other tour participants did not have AC problem but other hotel guests did. Jezero Hotel in Nat Park has no AC and temperature did not cool down enough in evening to be comfortable. I also prefer fully paid tour - it was annoying to have to figure out tips everyday for local guides. When I signed up for tour I was told there would be 10 people but there were 26 because of people from UK and Australia. My best meals were ones that I bought on my own in Slovenia which was my favorite visit of tour.

I booked it with Thomas cook, but the tour operator was Collette tours. .This caused a lot of confusion at Zagreb air port, that was the only down side to the holiday. As no one told me and it did not mentioned Collette in the itinerary booklet. So I can not give Thomas a rate as do not know what they did for me just got me very confused. I would rate Collette tours as excellent

A beautiful and historic trip

Collette is an excellent tour service. I was picked up at my house for the airport; and coming back, Collette picked me up at the hotel and brought to the airport. The hotels and the food were awesome, and our tour guide was one of the finest ladies I have ever met. She is an asset to any tour company. Our bus driver was one of the best. He managed to get the bus through some tight spots in the towns we visited. In conclusion, I really liked my tour, as I managed to see many different sites I would have missed had I gone on my own.

My tour with Collette was great. I was picked up at my house by Collette and taken to the airport; and when it was over, Collette picked me up at my hotel in Zagreb and taken to the airport. The hotels and the food were awesome, especially the breakfasts. Our tour guide was not only one of the best, she was one of the finest ladies I have ever met. Everybody loved Mo! I think my most memorable experience was walking the walls of Dubrovnik, Croatia. What fantastic views! I particularly liked the tour, because I was able to see places I would have missed had I gone on my own.

The tour was well organized and the guide was very knowledgeable. Sometimes our hotels were not so well located - would prefer to be central so we can walk out at night and enjoy the ambiance, rather than need to take the local transportation or a taxi. Finding supper at a nearby mall is not our idea of a great experience. Included meals were usually good and the experiences were varied - i.e. restaurant, farm location, small village location, residential area. Would prefer to be given a map or bottle of water daily, rather than a pin, bag & keychain. The wifi never worked on the bus. People didn't wear their nametags - maybe a clip would be better? The trip from Dubrovnik to Montenegro should start earlier in the morning because of the long wait at the border.

Especially was excited to tour Dubrovnik, but wish that we had spent more time in the city rather than take the option to the island. There was nothing really to be "guided" to see out there. Except to go for a swim, we were unimpressed with the botanical garden. Of course, the weather (hot & humid) affected this experience.

We did not spend enough time at any one destination giving us few options of what we could do in our free time. Our free time on this trip was minimal. There were too many early morning starts and we drove the length of the country twice. We heard conflicting information from two different tour guides on the same day. We went through Malania Trump's home village and there was no mention of it from the tour guide. She is only the first lady of the United States of America. Our excursion to Montenegro was a big bust. It was a full day's drive and we were there only a short time for a little loop around the city, eating lunch and back on the bus. I liked walking the wall in Dubrovnik and if we had taken the boat ride I would have missed that. We should have been there longer to experience whatever there was to offer no matter the cost.

I had to pay an extra $176 to get better seats.

Airport transfers from home to the airport and back were awesome. The delivery of the suitcases to our rooms were prompt.

The tour should have started in Zagrab and we should have stayed there a few days to rest up after our long journey, sightseeing, museums, etc. Instead we had to get on a bus and travel another two hours only to zig zag back and forth across the countries on the bus. When we got back the last day, hoping to finally spend some time in Zagrab we were in a different hotel than promised because ours was overbooked. The town with the shops were too far away and coming in late afternoon there was not much time once again to see what Zagrab was all about. We did not have enough time to do anything or we would have missed the farewell dinner. Dubrovnik, walking the wall was our favorite experience along with the Plitvice National park and the waterfalls. Stopping at the side of the road to look at lakes was not our idea of sight seeing/touring ...we have 10,000 lakes in Minnesota. The trip was planned very poorly and way tooooooo much time on the bus.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The itinerary highlighted cities, towns and experiences that were unique. Our tour director was superb, and her vast experience allowed the group to take full advantage of everything possible. Although the weather was colder than expected, the two snowy adventures, i.e. hiking in the snow at Plitvice National Park, and taking an open pletna boat on Lake Bled in the snow (then climbing 99 snowy steps) were unforgettable! Dubrovnik was magical. Every stop could be adapted to individuals' abilities, as needed. The included meals were enjoyable, and offered sufficient variety, and the hotels were all very good.

Disappointing

Air transportation was great. Bus trip was way too long backtracking leaving no time for visits to sights. Food at truck stops was OK for a truck stop. We were constantly reminded we came too early in the season so almost everything was closed

4 and 1/2 stars:. Appreciated the the last minute FLASH sale package including to/from airport service, airfare included and tour package. It was very convenient for the 12 day trip. ***, our guide and ****, the driver, proved to be a great team in local knowledge and compatibility. Hotels all good. Two points to note for improving: 1. Wait at Venice airport way too long (1 1/2 hrs) before a transport rep showed up to drive us (3 hrs) to Opatija. He was rather unhelpful and disinterested when he arrived, spoke little English and didn’t have any water in the van for the 6 of us to purchase after our long trans Atlantic flights. 2. Guide on day trip to Montenegro, was young, opinionated and biased in his information. He offended a good number of people in the coach with his view of politics and history. He even managed to make a slam against Canada.

I recognise this was due to difficulties of suitable airports for US clients but Collette could improve the experience by avoiding this aspect.

Good tour for the money, although some efficiencies would make it better.

Good overview of two beautiful and interesting countries. It hit all the high points and left adequate free time to explore. The itinerary could have been more direct -- either north to south or south to north. This would have allowed at least one extra day at a site. Much time was spent/wasted driving up and down the coast. In addition, hours were wasted at the beginning when several people did not know that they should find the Collette Representative at the airport. Written materials said look for "Happy Tours", which was not the banner held by the tour guide.

Satisfied and surpassed out expectations

Excellent tour director. Very good hotel selections. All hotels were excellently located and very suitable--not luxury, but all hotels were of a superior quality. The included meals were excellent--interesting venues (not places that a tourist would find on their own) with good local food and wines and friendly service. Our fellow travelers were courteous and brought varied and interesting backgrounds. [We recognize that this is not something that Collette can control, but it is worth noting that the type of people booking Collette Tours are people that are pleasant to be with.]

Slovenia was a real surprise and we are glad that it was included. Beautiful area, wonderful food and wines, friendly people, and very clean and safe.

Crystal clear Adriatic waters, delightful "home" dinners and a rich history

Good pricing, great tour guide, well thought through tour design, all good. The one wrinkle was 3 hr border at Bosnia-Herzegovina and 2 hrs upon return. I feel Collette should join with other tour companies and have a meaningful conversation with B-H about this problem. Someone's not managing this process. The exam we got was cursory - scanning passports, which Collette had already (?) digitally passed to the government in advance. No bus inspection or any other labor-intensive REASON for these delays. The cost to B-H and Montenegro IS significant - we were in country 5 HOURS LESS, SPENDING LESS because we couldn't entry either country for that time. Multiply that by all the tour groups going through there - and those which have decided not to spend 5 hours to come/go there.

Our tour guide sure knew his stuff! From Roman history to the wars among Muslims, Croats and Serbs. The Adriatic is simply gorgeous, clear water and the cities are clean and friendly. The "home" dinners were entertaining and tasty. We truly got enough time in each city to get comfortable with our surroundings; if I went back I'd know how to navigate. Hopefully the border crossings will get shorter; 2-3 hours waiting between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina each way! Other than that one thing, this is a delightful tour.

All the materials which Collette sent were useful, though I do wish the packet had included map(s) of the places we would visit. Our tour director was wonderful, and the itinerary well-paced, with combination of group activities and free time. The hotels and included meals were superb.

It was a well-balanced itinerary, and included a variety of places - cities, countryside, sea side, etc. Probably my favorite place was Dubrovnik, Croatia, where we had one whole day as free time and three nights in one hotel. I'd love to return to Ljubljana, Slovenia, too. My next tour with Collette is in three months and I look forward to another wonderful experience.

I rated Collette's service 5 stars as we had an excellent tour guide *Personal Details removed by Feefo* He was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information on each town or city we visited , professional, a good sense of humour and nothing was to much trouble for him. Also we had a very professional bus driver. The quality of dinners and accomodation were excellent, hotels being well positioned in each town.

Having 3 days in Dubrovnik was great as it gave us lots of time to explore the old city. The bus was right near the hotel so we were free to spend as much time as we wanted there as we didnt do the optional tours provided.

What an interesting, fun filled holiday with lots of breathtaking views!

Our tour director, *Personal Details removed by Feefo* really made the holiday one of the best as far as interesting , super organized and interesting sites to explore. *Personal Details removed by Feefo* had a fifth sense in planning and knowing what we travellers could aanticipate and experience. He was with us , guiding us for most of the time. Our excursion to Montenegro was the only disappointing part of the holiday. The short time in Montenegro. Was not worth the Very long bus ride from Dubrovnik. That excursion could be eliminated and replaced by going up to the War museum by funicular to the top of the mountain overlooking Dubrovnik. The hotel amenities in Dubrovnik were the. Best.

Plitvice Lakes was outstanding! The scenic views were breathtaking. Staying at the Valamar Lacroma Resort in Dubrovnik for 3 nights was great. The swimming pool there and atmosphere made me wish I could have had a longer time there. The Water for drinking was so good. No buying of water bottles!

The Highlights of the trip,especially Dubrovnik, were amazing.

The trip was great. However, the connections at Montreal and, especially, Frankfort were WAY TO TIGHT. We almost missed our connection. We were booked in with a group of 32 people travelling from Edmonton and often we felt like second class citizens. I would want to know if there was a large group on the trip before making the decision to go on that particular trip.

When we called before booking, we were told by an agent that we couldn't add a few days in Venice at the front-end of our tour. If we did, we were told that we would miss our transfer to Opatija. When we arrived at the Venice airport, the 32 person group from Edmonton was already on the bus, having been picked up after 3 or 4 days in Venice. This was SO UPSETTING. We missed Venice because of wrong information given by your agent. SO DISAPPOINTED.

Bad route. Great country. Much to do. Poorly planned.

The organization of the route was terrible. We spent way too much time in the bus when we could have had more time at our destinations had the route been planned better.

Montenegro trip was a bust. Again a waste of time. Only spent 1.5 hours at the destination. Most of the time we were on the bus. Could have shortened the travel by taking the ferry both ways.

Great stops, great people, poor routing

The stops were great, as were our tour manager, driver and guides. The drawbacks were too much time on the bus and too tight a connection from Zagreb to Frankfort. If you had flown us directly to Zagreb or Dubrovnik would have probably have saved a day or more on the bus by eliminating back-tracking and spent additional time in Zagreb, not to mention the drive from Venice to Opatija.

Least favorite Collette Tour

Arrival in Venice did not go well at all. Would recommend starting the tour in Venice with at least one night or two. Very long days spent on the bus. Not enough meals included, so meal stops were awkward and not always in the best location. Some travel days were done at the convenience of the tour company - not at the comfort of the travelers. 1st optional tour was on the 1st full day in country - what else were you to do since you didn't know what else was available to fill an entire day? And the 6 hour tour turned into 10 hours. Traveling with a friend - hotel unable to accommodate such travel companions and we were forced to sleep in one bed.

Bled, Slovenia was the best part of the trip. And we weren't given enough time there - so we could get to the next spot to eat.

Too many scenic memories to select just one. Coast line was spectacular. Slovenia was unexpectedly fabulous. UNESCO sites are breathtaking. Visits to the family farms are always fun. Overall however it was the tour manager who seamlessly made it all work.*Personal Details removed by Feefo* is outstanding. We hope to travel with him again. One piece of feedback we have re: accommodations is - can you consider placing repeat customers (we've used you 9 times) in the better rooms set aside for Collette. It was not unusual to hear first time travelers getting much larger rooms with larger bathrooms.

I have taken many trips with Collette and always had a wonderful time on their itineraries. The people are great and the places we visited are so memorable. I have promised my grandchildren that I would take each of them overseas on a trip. The four I have taken so far have loved the places they have visited. I have four more to go! Thank you Collette for making my gift to my grandchildren an experience they will never forget.

I was so surprised to see how beautiful Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, was. The scenery on the Dalmatian coast is breathtaking, but this beautiful city has charm of its own.

Trip of a lifetime!

Everyone in the main office was very helpful and answered all of my questions each time I called. I loved that I could book the tour and forget about it because they covered every detail, including pre-tour transportation and hotels. I can't even imagine doing all this on my own with as many cities, hotels and activities as there were. I would absolutely recommend Collette to anyone and hope to deal with them again in the future.

This was our family's first tour with Collette and we all loved it. Our tour manager was knowledgeable and fun. The bus driver, Bozo, was professional and knew his way around every nook and cranny. Everything ran smoothly with a few minor exceptions, involving weak air conditioning at 2 hotels (we never bothered to complain). Our family arrived a few days early to spend time on the island of Krk where my in laws were born. Opatija was charming...I would spend more time there. Dubrovnik and Slovenia were both stunning. I could live without Split and Montenegro, however. My favorite memory included the optional day trip to Istria and the unforgettable meal we shared deep in the countryside. The final group dinner in Zagreb on our last night together was a lot of fun which included a delicious meal just a short walk from the hotel. We had a delightful group of 34 people from all over the world ranging in age from 18 to 80. We booked our airfare through Collette and received round trip ground transportation from our home to the airport and back home again. Collette even arranged hotel and transportation for us pre-tour for our early arrival to tour Krk. I also appreciated calling Collette and not having to jump through hoops to speak to someone. Everyone in the office is very helpful and sweet. I would not hestitate to book another tour with Collette.

Professional, interesting and a fun way to travel.

Collette provides a very professional, fun, interesting and educational experience. The tour guides are very accommodating, knowledgeable and experienced. The hotels they use are generally 4 star. The only thing that I'd recommend is that they give you at least half a day to recuperate from your long flight before starting with any touring. When coming from Canada, going to Europe, you've probably gone without sleep for over 36 hours and need a bit of rest. before setting out too soon. I've travelled with Collette 6 times now and plan to use them again. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone.

On any tour, your guide makes or breaks it. Our guide, Sibila Cincotti, was a superb mix of great organization, amazing sense of humour, great representative of the Croatian culture (being Croatian herself) and extreme dedication. Air France lost my bag and I went for 7 days without it. Sibila was on the phone to the Italian phone number of Air France for me, knowing that the wait for the Italian phone number is quicker than the English line. She went beyond the call of duty in helping me resolve the issue. (She speaks Serbo-Croatian, Italian, English and French.)

Dubrovnik was my favourite stop. Walking the walls of the city and staying at the amazing waterfront Valamar Lacroma was quite the uplifting experience! The day trip to Montenegro was alright, but an extra day in Dubrovnik might have been better appreciated. Flying into Venice seemed awkward. Especially when it was not part of the tour.

Great experience and a very good company to travel with.

The Tour was excellent, particularly because our guide was so experienced and spoke the language of the country we were visiting. The booking procedure was simple, the hotels were the best available in the area and the meals provided were excellent. Jovanka had a lot of information to give us about the areas we travelled through, both geographically and politically which added to our knowledge. She always made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of.

There are several that spring to mind - climbing past the Plitvice Lakes in the pouring rain; exploring Dubrovnik and staying at the beautiful Valamar President hotel; dinner with the family in Cilipi and discovering the beautiful the city of Ljubljana. That was a complete surprise.
