The activity level for this tour:
You’re a leisurely traveler. You typically take it easy and discover the energy of a new place by people-watching or soaking in the atmosphere at a local café. You can climb at least one flight of stairs, board a coach, and walk unassisted at a relaxed pace for up to 60 minutes without difficulty. You can easily handle altitudes up to 5,000 feet.
You like a balanced approach to travel. Walking two to three miles over the course of a day is no problem for you. You can partake in a two-hour leisurely walking tour, covering up to two miles (with included breaks). You can handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills with relative ease and without assistance. You can climb two flights of stairs with ease. There may be 1 to 2 days on this tour when walking tours can cover 3 to 4 miles over uneven terrain. You can handle altitudes up to 6,000 feet.
You’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. A moderately paced two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, covering several miles, hills, and uneven surfaces, is no problem for you. Walking four miles over the course of a day is very doable, as is climbing into and out of various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.). You can climb three flights of stairs easily and handle altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. Expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. This level is not a fit for travelers who require mobility assistance devices.
You’re ready to seize the day, whatever it may bring. You lead an active life at home (walking, biking, and half or full day hikes are things you may enjoy) and 10,000 steps a day is normal for you. You can handle longer walking tours (more than 3 hours covering 3+ miles at a steady clip) and activities that involve traversing uneven terrain, steep slopes, standing for periods of time, and varying altitudes and temperatures. You don’t mind being on the go with some early starts, late-nights, and full days. You can handle altitudes of 9,000 feet or higher with little to no issue. This level is not appropriate for travelers who use wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility assistance devices.

Can not just say one thing every thing was memorable the travel agent Tina went more than above to make all our travel arrangements from the airplane to the adventures our tour guide was fantastic told so much more about the history and took us on a few unexpected places to the only thing I wish we could have done was to see the pineapple farm in Maui it was not on the tour but would like to be do not know the name but I know it was in Maui the whole vacation will be a memory that will last forever

Too many great experiences- I can’t pick just one! We had the good fortune to see Kīlauea spewing lava, green sea turtles, and several rainbows in beautiful settings. Meals were amazing, accommodations beautiful, and tour guide, Elizabeth Williams, was fun, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area and culture. It was a great trip!

The tour manager Ann Marie was delightful diligent and knowledgeable about the culture history and made the tour a memorable experience! One example of Ann Marie’s diligence was adjusting the schedule to accommodate an unexpected event that would have made us miss our flight to the next destination. We had to get up earlier than we planned but the detour to see the sunrise was beautiful!

The beginning of our Tour on April 10, 2025, was poorly arranged, causing anxiety, and the ending on April 19, 2025, being left without a Tour Director, was certainly not acceptable. However, Chuck Tracy did an excellent job as Tour Director. He was scheduled to go to another Island, leavng us without a Collette Tour Director. We seemed to be stuck in the back of the plane most of the time. In Lodging, our Westridge Wanderers Group were scattered throughout, and not close together as we normally prefer. We were not permitted to offer pray aloud; it was offensive to a couple of people. We are sad that this happened; we are praying people. We love the Lord, and are not ashamed to confess His precious name! And, we handle this properly, not offensively, at all times. Hawaii was beautiful! A good experience, but not without situations that needed better handling. Collette let us down! West Virginia may be viewed as lowly, but we are as important as the next good people. If Collette got to know us, they would appreciate us, and be more thoughtful of us.

The luau was my favorite experience. I also loved the group dinner at Leilani’s on the beach. I didn’t go on the trip to Hana because I wanted to enjoy the beach on Maui. I loved the trip but would recommend a little more free time to enjoy the beauty of the islands.

Loved the painted church, the road to Hana. Our tour guide was amazing! She was well prepared always offering us tips and ideas for when we were out on our own and always made herself available to us. This was my 3rd tour with Collette in as many years and was by far the best trip! I absolutely hated our trip in 2024 on the Rhine River because of the tour guide!

It was absolutely a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Andrew, did an outstanding job. He was very well experienced and could not have asked for a better guide. Would love to have him again on another tour. The accommodations and staff were very nice and helpful. The food was great, especially seafood and fresh fruits. The Hawaiian cultural sights were amazing and the ocean views were breathtaking. Looking forward to return back. I also want to mention that I had the most fun loving group of people on this tour and was very fortunate to have met them all.

Hawaii is such a beautiful place and we were able to see so much of it by going to three islands. The accommodations and meals provided were excellent. Our tour manager was so friendly, helpful and patient. It is hard to say what was my favorite thing but here are a few of them. Swimming in the ocean in Waikiki with sea turtles popping up around me, shopping in Kona and Maui, visiting Honaunau National Historical Park, the Road to Hana, laying out at the beach by our hotel in Maui, and the luau. And a delicious breakfast buffet each morning. It was a dream vacation.

My favorite experiences: watching a volcano eruption, extra trip to Hana, extra trip on boat to watch the whales, Pearl Harbor I think that a trip to the Dole Plantation should be included on any trip to Hawaii. Most of us wanted to see the plantation.

Oahu, the USS Arizona was very moving. I enjoyed the Iolani Palace as I enjoy history. Our bus driver, Gar, was excellent and had so much history with growing up on Oahu. Anne Marie was an excellent tour manager as she knew so much history of the Hawaiian Islands and culture. On Maui, I enjoyed the culture, the Road to Hana, and whale watching. Maui, I would like to visit again.

Sheraton Resort and Spa right on the beach. Wish the other 2 resorts had been on the beach as well. Did Whale watching on Catamaran boat on our own. This was fabulous. Would highly recommend incorporating this into the tour package

Sitting on beach in Maui. More walking that had been informed of. Hotels and breakfasts were wonderful! Not enough free time! Too many excursions. Too much walking to retrieve baggage and board bus in Honolulu. Seat assignments were not totally what we had requested. Had to cancel one excursion due to health issues and are still awaiting a refund. All in all it was pretty good.

Tour guide did a wonderful job keeping everyone's luggage and everyone where it and they should be. Included meals were wonderful except for 1 at the first hotel we stayed at. The breakfasts everywhere were fabulous. So much fresh fruit and variety. Only disappointment was that our snorkeling and whale watching tours were canceled because of weather issues.

Traveling with Collette is a first class experience all the way. They handle all the details and had an experienced Tour Manager that helped guide us along the way. I would highly recommend booking the Road to Hana excursion with Collette when you book the tour. Provided meals were all excellent. Each provided meal was either a buffet or a choice of 3 or 4 entrees that sometimes made choosing just one entree very difficult. The resorts we stayed in were all beach front and first class resorts. A very memorable trip!

My mother and I had the most wonderful time on this 10 day trip to Hawaii! We went to three different islands and had the time of our life. We went to Pearl Harbor, we visited and toured the palace and had a wonderful buffet breakfast every morning. We topped off our trip with a helicopter ride around Maui for 45 minutes! The trip to Hawaii with the helicopter ride completed my 85 year old mother’s bucket list! Our tour manager, Anne Marie was just wonderful! She was like family to us. She took care of us in every way and wanted us to have anything and everything that our hearts desired on this trip. We were amazed about how much she knew about Hawaii and the special places to take us. I would definitely take a trip with Colette again and have Anne Marie as our tour manager!

Prince Waikiki hotel was wonderful. Restaurant was great with varied food selections every day. Loved the heated toilet seats- I know that sounds funny but it was a nice surprise. The road to Hana was my favorite tour. The mountains, curvy roads, all the waterfalls & the beaches. We had high winds & wave precautions- made the trip amazing. The Mauai Sheraton was a little confusing at first but was lovely. Plus we swam with the Manta rays at night!

Pearl Harbor, the plants and trees, the coffee plantation, Everything!! I've nicer been anywhere like this. Loved the ABC stores also. So convenient when traveling and I'm sure it is when you live there. I was able to get some plant starts there which was on my list of seveners I also loved Diamond Head and the other volcano. The tour was excellent. The food and accommodations were beyond our expectations. Breakfast buffets were a favorite part of our days. The Road to Hana was spectacular. The whole experience was something we will always remember.

The overall trip was one of a kind. The road to Hana was something to remember. The ocean waves was something to remember. Just being able to travel to three islands in one trip was beautiful. Looking at God's creation of the many mountains, valleys, ocean very interesting. Watching the big turtles on the sand banks was one of a kind. It was very interesting listening to the tour guide. He was very knowledge about the islands. These trips certainly improve our scholarship for our students. Listening to the music of this nation of people was very interesting. The purchase, the trip was worth every penny spent.

Luau in Maui was great. Food was wonderful. Entertainment was superb! The Prince Wiakiki Resort was beautiful. The food there was amazing!! The second resort on the big Island was a wonderful site. The cafe was lacking in help and ability to serve us food after a long day on our tour. There were no other options for supper except their small store. Not exceptable for the cost of the resort and out trip. The resort on Maui was very beautiful. Meals and friendliness of staff was great. Enjoyed the stay at Maui and maybe someday return there.

It would have been nice to know there was a beach close to the first hotel. The one hotel was so far from anything that there was not a lot to do. Loved the pool but you can only be there so long before getting burnt. Breakfasts were really good. I liked that we were busier at first and had more free time at the back half of the tour. The tour/bus driver to Pearl Harbor was great. Would have preferred a different option than the USS Arizona. Tours can be hard when something interests one person and not another- I would have liked to stay at the Palace about 15-30 min longer but everyone else was done. Loved the dinners, the two that were more buffet were excellent- the other 3 were great, options were almost identical though and I saw many people eating basically the same thing 3 times. Ann Marie was great - worked hard for the poor people stranded going to Hawaii. Appreciate the change of pickup at the end of our tough ride home.

We like watch the movie Pearls Harbor. Would like go thru sub marine but should have credit card to be able to see that's. Road from Hona wasn't really encouraged. Road was the best. We didn't get sick but we had ginger candy before we left. Didn't like the birds sat down on the plates next to hot food.

I enjoyed everything we toured, I didn't go to Hanah because of the winding road, I have motion sickness so it was suggested that I not go. I feel the "tour manager" could have included my companion and I a little bit more. I am elderly so I couldn't walk as fast, so we were left out of some of the conversations. We could have booked our own tour, but we wanted to be with other people. The "tour manager", Erin, all in all was great, was on top of everything, timing, transportation and etc. I liked Maui because of its beautiful flowers, Lauhah, and seeing the hump back whales. I wish there was more to do on the last day there. We weren't told of some other things we could have done or toured. We weren't overjoyed with nothing to do. Yes, we enjoyed the sun and beach, but it got to be a long day just doing that. Otherwise the trip was worth going on. Hope you offer another trip through the Monroe WI Senior Center. Thank you..

The accomodations were all great. The transfers between islands was excellent. There was no handling of luggage and boarding passes were given to us, no standing in line for these. Elizabeth the tour manager made the trip awesome. She was very knowledgeable about everything on the trip. This was very evident when we were on Maui and she became emotional about how the fires affected the island. She really loves her job. Also did whale watching and helicopter tour, which were both great.

Interaction with friends during meals in such a beautiful paradise. A Luau was planned with dance lessons and a big buffet we did get totally wet during a heavy pop shower. This was also my longest flight and biggest plane it was smooth both ways to Hawaii 8 1/2 hours going and 6 hours coming home..

Our tour guide Erin was OUTSTANDING...professioal, yet entertaining and knowledgeable! The resorts overall were very nice... in one of the places, the beds were small. The food was good, buffet breakfast at once place was never warm. The excursions were wonderful... we got to see many wonderful places and I didn't have to get on a boat to see them!!! The luggage transfers were all done in a timely manner except at 1 hotel...Erin ended up doing the bulk of the work. There was a medical emergency with one of our tour guests, Erin and Collette handled it all like a pro...I was extremely happy to see the efficiency of it all! We met many people, that became fast friends!

The island hop days were too long. We had to be up at 0600 to be ready to travel but didn’t get into hotel until 5:00- 7:00 - 4:00 pm exhausted and hungry. The day we were to leave for home we were told to be out of our room by 1100 but were asked to leave earlier. We had to wait 4 1/2 hours before bus pick up and then didn’t arrive home until the next day at 1100. I was very ill for a week. I loved the sights in Hawaii but the way the tour was laid out was very exhausting making it easy to get sick.

Pearl Harbor is impressive and so inspiring! A must for anyone traveling to o’ahu The big island offers so much cultural history. But my favorite memory was the sea turtles at volcano national park. Maui and the Road to Hana was amazing as were the humpback whales. Maui is a great place to unwind and relax.

Loved all the excursions that were included. One of my favorites was the coffee bean farm even though we experienced an earthquake while there. The accommodations were fabulous but the Outrigger Resort needed some chairs in the room to sit on—huge room, no sitting area. The food there, also, was rather blah, not very good. The food at the Prince Waikiki and the Sheraton was excellent. We loved our time in Maui but please don’t book a return flight that leaves 12 hours after having to check out of the hotel room. That was misery.

Erin our tour guide was excellent. The accommodations were all 5 star, I would recommend Collette and also if you could get our tour guide Erin to anyone. She was on top of every detail and ensured that the trip went off with out any glitches. Only time the weather didn't cooperate was when we were at the volcano, but mother nature ensured the rest of the trip that we had sun shine and warm weather. What a fabulous trip with Mark who lives in Hana plus he is a biologist and was able to talk about the different growths due to environmental difference in that area. Recommend Mark as a local guide. Well organized and small group …. We enjoyed the people and our time traveling. Accommodations were very good… on the big island would like to someday see the Outrigger updated as they have a sensational spot. Loved it there. (They’re working on the outside but really should be working on the dated rooms interiors.) We thought Wesley was an excellent tour guide. The only thing we would like to see Collette engage in is some requirement for sick people on a tour to get tested and isolate. As we traveled through the week with a couple people sick , one very obviously coughing and sick. By end of trip sickness got one of us the last two days -positive for Covid. Unfortunately we had to isolate from the rest of the group activities ( which we felt was only fair to the rest of the group) while other sick was able to stay joined with the group because they never tested. Julie went above and beyond to take care of every concern and request of every single guest. We were to be picked up at our home to go to airport, We waited, but Collette never picked us up or informed us we were not being picked up. After waiting and waiting and no help from Collette, we had to make our own arrangement to the airport, missed the flight, which resulted in our extreme trauma. We also not reasonably reimbursed or received an appropriate apology from Collette for this totally WRONG happening and experience. This was totally unprofessional, unsatisfactory and not acceptable. This situation had an adverse impact on total trip. The overall trip was only fairly enjoyable and failed to meet our overall expectations.. There were some enjoyable times and a few good memories. We thought the cost was overpriced based on what was received and our overall experience. We will have to think twice about Collette in the future, mainly based on our interactions with Collette and your overall attitude related to our BAD, non-acceptable experience.

Our Tour Guide, Chuck Tracey was fantastic! He truly cared about all the individuals that were on the tour. We shall treasure the monk seal drawing that he gave us at the end of the trip. Chuck Tracey was an excellent tour director. He made his room available to those people who had to leave their hotel rooms at noon on the 19th. Cimo, the bus driver, did an outstanding job of telling us about the past and present history of Hawaii. He and Chuck work well together. I thought the hotel accommodations on the Big Island were just okay and expected better. A lot of stops were to buy candy and cookies which was considered a part of the excursion experience. The travel guides (bus drivers) where adequate. They tended to talk to much about their families on long tour rides. Anne was very personable but mediocre as our tour guide. I did like her enormously as a personality. Should allow for one day where you have beach time; though my wife and I took a day off from touring to enjoy the beach in Maui.

Too much "free time." Unable to go on local tours. Hotels too isolated. Wife had a nasty fall at Waikiki Airport shuttle-to-hotel location, due to unsafe curbs and lack of safety signs and markings. Actually two of my favorites were activites that were not part of the tour, but were facilitated a bit by Cory.... I found some surf lessons and the manta ray tour right next to the hotel in Kona was AWESOME. Oh yeah, I hiked up Diamond Head too :) Loved finding the sea turtles, also took a whaling tour, snorkeled. The one thing that I was disappointed by was the brevity of the stops at Iolani Palace and the King Kahmeamea statue in Honolulu. When I saw them listed on the itinerary, I skipped going to them on my early day. But we just drove past them--I wanted to go in. Also wish I would have seen the Bishop museum. The only two problems were changing the air travel (which, admittedly, I did twice and the second time was pretty late) but it was treated as non-urgent even when the trip was approaching and the WiFi went out in the hotel. Even on vacation, I need to be able to get an internet connection or risk losing a lot of $$$ (I called down to the front desk and was told there was nobody there until the morning--all they needed to do was to reset the router... can't remember for sure which hotel this was at but I think it was the outrigger on Kona?)

Program Director did a great job with 46 of us getting off and on time to sites to see. She did well coordinating five group dinners for us. The trip was paced very quickly at the beginning and extremely slow at the end so it needs to be readdressed so we have a consistent pacing. There was not a lunch hour included each day, we were told to bring snacks so this needs to be readdressed by Collette even if 30 min are allocated with a box lunch provided from a local eatery.

One thing is to have a tour guide who is knowledgeable about the area. The local guide on Oahu was excellent but the other two local guides were below par.

Two of the hotels were excellent. The third one was below par, the rooms were musty, and I suspect moldy since I became ill after one night in this location. The timing of the included tours was faulty. It was either rush, rush and unless you participated in the extra tours there was too much down time with lack of options given by the guide.

"Remembering Pearl Harbor", Fern Grotto, and the Legendary "Road to Hana" were my favorites. I also enjoyed the Evening at Kilohana. The show that told the of the legend ,Kalamaku was wonderful.

Our trip to Hawaii was fun, interesting, and everything went smoothly. All travel and hotel accommodations were 5 star. Not one glitch. Our tour guide was from Hawaii so knew history and who best guides were for side trips. He went out of his way to make sure everyone enjoyed their trip.

The tour guide and Oahu driver were excellent. The hotels, included meals, and sightseeing were also excellent. However, there was a glitch in my flight from the Big Island to San Diego because the first leg of the flight was cancelled due to bad weather. I realize you have no control over the weather and after a harrowing experience with Alaska Airlines and having to spend another night on the Big Island at my own expense including hotel and Uber costs, the next day, I learned that there was a direct flight from Kona Airport to San Diego Airport. I should have been booked on the direct flight by your Air Department and I would have left Kona on the scheduled day with a much shorter travel time.

When we got to Maui, we were pretty much on our own. I would have thought there would have been more group trips planned. The trip was 10 days long, which included 2 days of travel. Maui, included about 1/2 day of truly planned group and the other 2 days were blank or Collette, unless we purchased additional outside trips. That was very disappointing, especially since the hotel/resort we were at was so isolated from much things other than the resort

I was on hold for 4 hours trying to get my trip scheduled, got several different prices, book was confusing as to whether plane fair was included or not included, it was not. I scheduled through a Senior Center, that was not promoting the trip at that time, I had found I could schedule Collette trips without waiting for Senior Center to Promote them. Was told a Manager would be right with me, while I was on hold and the Manager took another call before me AFTER I was told they would talk to me next.

Anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Hawaii, get to see more than on island, and have the stress taken out, this is the tour for you. You get to see three islands, you can keep busy every day if you want, or you can take a day all for yourself and do whatever you want. Our fearless leader Greg, was always there to help with any questions you may have. He always made himself available. This will be our trip of a lifetime!

It's hard to pinpoint one favorite experience, the most moving, would be going to Pearl and seeing the Arizona. The most spectacular would be on Maui and taken The Road to Hana, beautiful scenery, and the most fun would probably be the Luau, they did a great job on that one!

The hotels and the tour guide were very good.The one part of the the trip was the visit to the Arizona Memorial (Pearl Harbor)should have been planned for the most likely part of the day that had the best chance of actually landing at the Memorial..I personally and firmly believe that the early morning hours would have ensured our doing this.We did not get to go because of windy conditions.I was severely disappointed since this was one of my main reasons for visiting the State of Hawaii.We are not returning to Hawaii so it was big missed opportunity.

Overall the tour was ok. Our tour guide Mark was super. He had everything organized and always made sure everyone was informed. Some of the stops on the tour made no sense such as lunch at a shopping center, some lower grade accommodations, not enough time at some stops, very poor driver on the road to Hanna, (way too fast) rips off lunch on that tour.

Overall, this was the way to see Hawaii. Because we wanted to visit more than one island, the coordination given by Collette was invaluable and made our vacation effortless. There was no concern as to how to get to the airports, check ins, room reservations etc. We would definitely do this again.

Our tour manager made our tour. She had been with the company 26 years and we think that said a lot about both her and Collette. When we were concerned about how we were going to manage on the last day as we had a 11:00 a.m. checkout but a 10:45 p.m. flight. She arranged for us to have access to a courtesy room so that we could enjoy the day on a snorkel cruise and have a place to store our bags and later get a shower and clean up before dinner and departing for the airport. I'm sure we couldn't have managed that alone and it really made that last day easy and special.

We had a wonderful trip, great weather and guide in Melanie McDonald. She was available at every turn and could get answers to all our questions. All the contracted drivers were very good and gave us many local stories about history of the islands and language. We have taken 5 trips with Collette and have recommended the company many times.
