You’re a leisurely traveler. You typically take it easy and discover the energy of a new place by people-watching or soaking in the atmosphere at a local café. You can climb at least one flight of stairs, board a coach, and walk unassisted at a relaxed pace for up to 60 minutes without difficulty. You can easily handle altitudes up to 5,000 feet.
You like a balanced approach to travel. Walking two to three miles over the course of a day is no problem for you. You can partake in a two-hour leisurely walking tour, covering up to two miles (with included breaks). You can handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills with relative ease and without assistance. You can climb two flights of stairs with ease. There may be 1 to 2 days on this tour when walking tours can cover 3 to 4 miles over uneven terrain. You can handle altitudes up to 6,000 feet.
You’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (2-3 hours) isn’t a big deal. A moderately paced two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, covering several miles, hills, and uneven surfaces, is no problem for you. Walking four miles over the course of a day is very doable, as is climbing into and out of various modes of transportation (tuk-tuk, cable car, zodiac, etc.). You can climb three flights of stairs easily and handle altitudes between 6,000 and 9,000 feet. Expect some longer days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. This level is not a fit for travelers who require mobility assistance devices.
You’re ready to seize the day, whatever it may bring. You lead an active life at home (walking, biking, and half or full day hikes are things you may enjoy) and 10,000 steps a day is normal for you. You can handle longer walking tours (more than 3 hours covering 3+ miles at a steady clip) and activities that involve traversing uneven terrain, steep slopes, standing for periods of time, and varying altitudes and temperatures. You don’t mind being on the go with some early starts, late-nights, and full days. You can handle altitudes of 9,000 feet or higher with little to no issue. This level is not appropriate for travelers who use wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility assistance devices.

Everything they did was great. Heather was very knowledgeable and friendly. At the hotel we stayed at by Zion National Park (Holiday Inn Express) we were told because of construction going on there we would get $100.00 rebate for each of us. Never got it. Other than that we enjoyed our trip.

1. Our Tour Manager (Charity) and Bus Driver (Teddy) made the tour Enjoyable! Both were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating.. 2. Wanted more time at the Navajo Facility...too much to see for the short time we were there. The food was Phenomenal, especially the Fry Bread! In fact, all of the meals provided by Collette were GREAT! 3. All of the hotels were Excellent! The coach bus was large and clean. 4. Would like the option of upgrading air travel at the time one registers for the tour. 5. The tram ride at Zion and the ride on the river should be continued!! 6. I plan to travel again with Collette on their Alaska or Badlands tour in 2026!

The tour was excellent! We enjoyed every tour stop and thoroughly enjoyed the information we received from our tour guide prior to each experience. Todd spent an enormous amount of time researching the history and interesting facts about each place we visited, and provided the information each night prior to the next tour stop. Everyone greatly appreciated the time he put in to ensuring we had the best experience possible. He made everyone on the tour feel special and went out of his way to have meaningful conversations with everyone throughout the entire week we were together. He is well informed and very personable. I would definitely do another tour knowing Todd would be the tour guide. My most memorable experience was my very first view of the Grand Canyon. It was breathtaking and so much more spectacular than I could have ever imagined. I will never forget it.

So hard to say. Going around every bend in the road and seeing something more awesome than we just passed. Standing on the rim of Grand Canyon and trying to comprehend its vastness, the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon that were actually created naturally. Appreciating the beauty of God’s creation in Zion. Wrapping up with the flash and glamor in Las Vegas. From one extreme to the other!! WOW!!!!!

Seeing the Grand Canyon was most impressive. The hotel we stayed at in the park had much to be desired. The rooms were ok but the food was terrible. Evening buffet food tasted terrible and was cold. Breakfast was ok. Walking around Sedona seemed like a waste of time. Tour guide was good but not best at communicating. Often told us info after we were on the bus that we should have had before we got on the bus.

I especially loved visiting and comfortably hiking Zion National Park. During this tour I would have loved to see more of the Sedona area either by a bus ride around the area and stopping to enjoy the beauty of nature with some easy hiking/walking rather than shop ping.Loved the open boat rides. I was thrilled that my tour director kept open lines of communication with us and the bus driver as well. We felt very well cared for throughout the tour. Thank you Collette for allowing me to meet so many kind and interesting fellow travelers.

It was a wonderful trip—beautiful country, canyons were awesome , the tour director was so knowledgeable and gave us so much info and history that we would not have learned so much on our own. She was able to point out specific places, spotted animals, vegetation that it was a whirlwind of information along the whole trip. Another factor was being able to stop at different places to shop, and enjoy the different areas one might not visit on their own. The meals and places where we stayed and ate that were included were very good also. My most favorable experience was the open raft ride down the Colorado River. It was so peaceful and beautiful, and very fun. It was a treat being driven by a fantastic bus driver, being hosted along the whole trip, and to end up in Vegas—a dream vacation!!!!

The tour was great! It was an easy activity tour with options to be more active (take hikes, etc) if you wanted. There was a good amount of free time with suggestions on things you could do. The included meals were excellent and the accomodations were very good and located near food and activities. Our tour guide (Joel) and driver (Ted) were very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and fun! We also appreciated that Joel took several group photos so we have those to remember everyone by. We never went more than about 1.5 hours without a restroom break and something interesting to see while stopped. My only complaint is the short amount of time spent at the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon and too much time (2 days) at Lake Powell. I would rather spend time at the Natural Wonders than a man-made lake.

The natural beauty of the Canyon Country of the American Southwest is breath-taking. Ann Boulais was a superb tour manager. We had a great time! The only glitch was at the Lake Powell Resort where the hotel didn't have our rooms ready upon arrival, which forced our group of 70+ year olds to walk A LONG WAY from the buildings housing our rooms to the lobby and restaurants. Very unfortunate and shame on this hotel.

Hard to say which one I liked best, maybe Grand Canyon. The only comment I have, please turn down the volume on the bus speakers. They're LOUD; I had to wear ear plugs. We had a wonderful time! Overall the tour was wonderful. However, traveling on a national holiday probably made things more difficult (we will probably not do that again). While the hotel room were generally good we always seemed to be located far away from the center portion of the parks (especially in the grand canyon). A long hike for some of the older tour members. The tour manager (Kathy) and the bus driver (Ted) were fantastic and made the trip the success it was for us.

The tour manager was very unprofessional in dress, attitude and ability. She always looked like she was on vacation with the excuse she missed her plane and did not have time to get her Collette stuff. She was unorganized and seems fluster most of the time. But the worst was that after me and my roommate exited the bus, another person was still on the bus and heard her call us "Bitches". which I did not know until after the trip. And she also left us when walking on one of the trails when she said she would wait while we went to the bathroom. If I ever found out she was going to be my tour guide on another trip, I would immediately cancel.

My big complaint is that we were traveling in a party of 4. I was not pleased that our two rooms were not beside each other and sometimes on different floors or different buildings. I would have like adjoining rooms. The second complaint is that the accommodations, except for the last two nights, were not very good for the cost of the tour. The hotel at Lake Powell was the only option for dinner, when we were expected to be responsible for our own meal.

The Canyon Country tour is an excellent tour of the National Parks in the Southwest. Every day is filled with beautiful views of our National Parks. The Tour Director was an outstanding professional and provided an excellent overview of the geology and history of the sights we visited. Every detail was taken care of.

The over all trip was great, but I would make some adjustments to the itinerary if possible. Traveling 1200 miles on a bus in 7 days is to much. For me it was a lot of sitting and often when we had short stops not enough time was allowed for us to exit the bus and see what was of interest at the stops. The trip was exhausting and I am not sure that I would take a future trip.

The Canyon Country tour was spectacular and very well done. If you have never been to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lake Powell, Bryce National Park, and Zion National Park, please put these magnificent treasures on your bucket list. Our wonderful and extremely knowledgable tour guide, Mark C. filled us with so much information every step of the way during this tour -- both on and off the bus. He is the best and I would love to take another tour with him as our guide (and Roger as our very capable bus driver).

All of the stops on the Canyon Country tour are magnificent and will take your breath away. Each of them is different, but they are so beautiful! I think my favorite was the hoodoos at Bryce National Park. I live on the East Coast, and I felt like I was viewing another world. The landscape where I live is nothing like anything I saw during this fabulous getaway.

Mark Cunningham was an excellent tour guide ( I would expect nothing less from Collette!), the itinerary was perfect, no wasted time; we were always the first to a site to miss the crowds or get the best view. Not too happy with the first couple of dinners (Mexican in Scottsdale and Harvey House and breakfast at Grand Canyon), but everything else was great. Bus driver was professional, and we felt very safe.

This was truly an amazing tour of the most beautiful area of our country. Every day had two or three stops with breathtaking views. Almost every minute of our bus trip our tour guide filled with information about the countryside, the history of that area, and advised us what we could do (10-minute hike down into Bryce Canyon but more difficult walk back up), what to wear for the fluctuating temperature, and what time he expected us back to keep to our itinerary. The accommodations were great, the food not always as good, and the people we traveled with delightful. Most memorable was our visit to Zion National Park, driving in, hiking through and seeing the beautiful cliffs from our gorgeous motel room.

Collette's choices of resorts and restaurants was excellent. I was surprised and pleased with our menu options when our meal were included. Trip destinations made the trip unforgettable. I think this had to be a difficult trip to manage because the distance between destinations was so far, but Collette employees did an excellent job managing the trip. We got to see a lot in a short period of time.

Our experience was affected by my wife's accidental fall and we had to separate from the tour for about 19 hours. Even though the accident lessened our experience and made the trip harder, we still enjoyed the trip, the scenery that we got to see was worth the effort that it took to get there. The entire trip was rushed, we traveled so much in such a short time. We travelled 6 to 8 hours to have 45 minutes but it was worth it because what we got to see. We enjoyed the trip and Collette did a good job, but we did think travelling by bus was hard.

This is a great tour. Our guide shared so much information that was entertaining and informational. The tour of Monument Valley was absolutely the highlight of the tour for me. This was my first trip with Collette and I was impressed. I have already recommended it to so many people. It was a relaxing vacation.

Grand Canyon was a pleasure I expected but Bryce and Zion were an added bonus. Time at each stop was maximized for best viewing. Hotels were all interesting and pleasant. Our guide Elizabeth and driver Ray were phenomenal. Elizabeth had fun activities for longer times on the bus.

Grand Canyon ,Zion National Park and Lake Powell were my favorite places on the tour. Scottsdale was a waste of time. We arrived a day early to allow time to see the sights there and found most businesses and landmarks closed or open late.

The Canyon Country Tour was excellent. From the starting location in Scottsdale to Las Vegas was a tight, but well planned tour through various National Parks, Navajo country and ending in the "bright" glitzy Las Vegas. Mark Cunningham (our tour guide) was well organized, extremely knowledgeable on each of the points of our tour, and showed personal care and concern towards each traveler on our trip! The only complaint I would voice was the food at the Springdale hotel. The hotel in Springdale was lovely, but the breakfasts were out of food right after the first Collette group of travelers left and we (2nd group) went in for our breakfasts. There were only two breakfast staff servers and people had to ask for more food when the containers became empty. I heard from other travelers in our group that dinner there at the Springdale hotel was "hit and miss" also. I would still recommend the location/hotel, but the hotel needs to improve their restraurant food and service. No trip is perfect no matter how well planned, so my comments are "minor" compared to the full quality of the trip. I would highly recommend this trip to others and will be traveling with Collette again. Thank You! Kathleen McCord Placerville, CA

It took care of my "bucket" list for the southern part of the United States. Well planned, timing good, and accommodations in various location close to walking to various points I wanted to see. No complaints on time spent at different stops, tours by separate parties, and places we stopped to eat as we traveled to our next destination. All good

Fantastic trip. The scenery at the parks was beautiful. Our guide, Mark Cunningham was exceptional in his knowledge of the areas and keeping the group interested and engaged in the history of the parks.

Tour was great, plane reservations were not. We were booked on Delta from Sacramento with a layover in Salt Lake City before landing in Phoenix. Plus the $30 checked baggage fee. On the return leg, we again flew Delta, from Las Vegas with a layover in Los Angeles before landing in Sacramento. Plus the $30 checked baggage fee. We could have flown on Southwest direct to Phoenix, free bag. And returned on Southwest direct from Las Vegas to Sacramento in 1 hour instead of 7, again free bag. There were people who got to fly Southwest back east who got home before we did. None of this made sense. Seems like the baggage fee could have been paid for us since Delta wasn't the only flight option.

I have never been on a tour organized by a company because they are rather expensive. My friends were celebrating a significant birthday as was i so we decided to go on at trip. This was chosen by one of the birthday celebrants and we all got on board. I really enjoyed the tour. It was well worth the price. It covered everything - trip to airport, flights, and everything else that was tour related; a number of meals were included. The bus trips from place to place were not that long considering the ground we needed to cover. Our tour guide was excellent. We were doing something every minute that we arrived at our destinations. Our tour guide was wonderful and made sure we got to see things that he thought we would enjoy - like seeing the Grand Canyon at sunset as well as at dawn. We learned a lot about each place we visited. All we had to do was enjoy the trip. No worries about traffic, ticket purchases, etc. I really was impressed.

To visit the canyon country was a priority item on my “bucket list” and our guide made that the most memorable trip of my life. He was so thorough in attending to every minute detail, and made every person feel special. He was remarkable and represented your company in the most favorable way possible. The whole canyon experience was incomparable and a total delight. The one thing that was not so good was to end the trip with two days in Las Vegas. One day there was more than enough.

Our church uses Colette and we have always had good experiences. On recent tripwe had great driver who navigated the mts well. Lake Powell was beautiful. If there is one thing that could be improved upon it is after a long flight there should be a room available and there never is, because we arrive at our destination so early. Perhaps a lounge where people can rest could be arranged.

Poor choice of travel director who did not add a positive experience to the trip. Very little knowledge of the areas except for what she read on her phone. Too much time on the bus with no creativity for helping pass the time on long rides. More time should have been allowed at the canyons besides "photo shoot" time. Wished there was more time in Sedona. On a positive note.....very experienced driver and wonderfully comfortable tour bus; accommodations were fine; traveling companions were very nice and responsible; did get to see the expected sites.

I was impressed with Bryce Hill and his tour leading abilities. He made the trip fun and interesting with bits of history thrown in that I've never before gotten from a tour director. Bryce deserves a raise!

We loved all the canyons, the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion. Zion was our favorite. Las Vegas was our least favorite. One more day at Zion one less day in Vegas would have been ideal. Lake Powell was beautiful but would have preferred another excursion choice. We heard the 1 hour morning tour of the Antelope Canyons was fascinating. The 2 1/2 boat tour was nice but a little long on a hot day.

The scenery at each park was magnificent. At Lake Powell in the evening the park rangers set up powerful telescopes to see the stars and planets. We were able to see Jupiter and the rings around it, along with Venus and Mars. The rangers also pointed out with a laser all the constellations. So impressive and a wonderful surprise. They do it once a month and we were lucky enough to be there that night.

Our tour guide and motor coach driver did an outstanding job of providing information as well as making us comfortable. The hotels were very clean and pleasant. Phoenix was a disaster. Welcome dinner sub par in old tired conference room . .Food poor. Dishes piled up never taken away after courses. Native American activity excellent. But, after that not much to do. Lake Powel hotel description led us to believe that we were going to have a lake vtew,,we did not. Tour guide good . Apparently you are cutting costs. We were suppose to visit a Indian Hogan, that again never happened......In Phoenix we were scheduled to go to Capital an lovely park, that was limited greatly because of a strike which was known in advanced, but you did not have a back up plan, a day wasted ............We used you before. Our tour director, Barbara , was excellent! She did a great job, and was always intune to all of our needs. I did not like the hotel the we stayed in at the Grand Canyon. It was not clean. The room was dusty , contained mold, and mildew. The Native American’s were both very informative. It added to the quality of the trip.

Amazing Tour!! My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time! Each day was planned very well and another adventure to look forward to. Our tour guide, Mike was so knowledgable and accommodating!! Our bus driver was outstanding, polite and very courteous. The Grand Canyon was spectacular as was Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Monument Valley. We especially liked the excursion to the Hoover Dam. The trip through Canyon Country was really great and being in a group setting was nice too. The only thing worth changing would be allowing a few hours or a day more to explore these parks. There is just not enough time to hike any trails in the park before moving to the next destination.

The hotels are accommodation were very well selected and didn't disappoint. We are already looking to book another trip. Collette should up thief profile in the U.K. As we were surprised to be the only British people on this trip. This company has so much to offer. We would have maybe liked a little more time at the Grand Canyon with an option to take the helicopter trip from there instead of from Las Vegas

Exactly what the brochure depicted. Everything that we wanted to see and experience, except the last stop. Could have eliminated Las Vegas would have been better to stop at the Hoover dam instead. Almost all of the other passengers felt he same way. One comment would be to have a room facing a view instead of always in the back of the hotels.

The trip to Monument Valley was a D+. The young fellow leading the tour thought the mountains were at least a 1000 years old. Other then that, with the addition of a train ride into and out of the Grand Canyon would have made it a 5 star tour.

Fantastic trip , wonderful scenery, transport exceptional especially coach driver. Food that was included in trip( which wasn't a lot ) not as good as expected. Excluding the Paris complex which was very good. Guide on the trip was a pleasant young lass but I felt she needed more experience which I'm sure she will get the more she travels. Think Collette should include as an extra the Canyon helicopter and boat trip. Also feel we could have stayed an extra day in Zion Park rather than Vegas.

Waiting for some rebate so we can tour again. Not your fault that my partner Lyle came down with E Coli, a shock to us both. He was hospitalized in Cottonwood for 3 days, shuttled to Phoenix and flown home. The first night I spent in his hosp room. Paid $5 for every tray from the cafeteria. The travel ins instructed me to get a motel room, taxi back and forth to the hosp. Great, contact with ins quick, but I'm concerned with reimbursement at this time. I have not received any rebate for this OR any rebate for our trip interruption. Please advise. Dolores Aldred RN

In the future, I would be more selective and search a tour group that is smaller than 40+. Although this tour worked well with little to no bad feelings about seating rotations or exiting the bus at stops, a smaller group experience would be better for people 80 years old. I would recommend the company with reservations as listed above. I would use them again if they had smaller tour groups. The Tour Manager of this tour was excellent...had great knowledge and managed the group well. There was a wide range of ages in this group...children to older adults.

One of the locations the tour visited was the main reason we took the tour. The visit to the Navajo Reservation National Monument was the highlight of the tour. Had visited the other locations, but the added value of the information provided by the Tour Manager or others made the trip very worthwhile.

I have tried to email you since our return but the email address I have found saying that this is away to contact you have not worked .There are several reasons why i will not use Collect again. 1. Before we left Uk you our travel agented phoned us and said you wanted to know if we wanted a smoking room at the Paris hotel Las Vegas. We said no. When we reach the Paris Hotel Vegas you have put us in a smoking room. 2. The transfer vouchers from the Paris Hotel to Vegas airport were not issued and the tour guide made rather a thing of it saying she needed to check through our documentation as we might not Know what it looked like. The fact that there were several of us did not matter. 3.We stayed at the Paris Hotel Thursday Friday and left on the Saturday. In our documentation it said we had a breakfast provided. When we told our tour guide this she said show me proof. We showed her the evidence but would not accept this and would not issue vouchers. It was not just us but two other British couples had the same info that there should have been breakfast on the Friday. The tour guide also thought that we had booked an extra day in Vegas when we had not. So altogether not at satisfactory holiday and this was the 3rd one we had booked with you. We have told our travel agent that we are looking at a holiday to Canada but you would not be our preferred agent where as in the past you were our number 1 tour provider.

Overall, the tour itself covered just about everything a person could ask to see. However, I found the time on the bus to be too long and the time at the parks too short. Bus seats do not adequately hold a 220 pound person, so partner is squished for hours at a time. Single persons are allowed two seats the whole trip, which seems unfair to those who need more room. Meals were plentiful and overall quality of rooms was fair to good.
